All the Goodness in the World

Peeps. Happy weekend. I personally will be donning this tiger shirt from the Walmart junior plus size section all weekend. Count on it.

Nights Like These

Make me feel like this. Honestly, late night chats and tacos with good friends who love Jesus is definitely worth the loss of sleep and the early morning class that I will most likely be running to tomorrow morning. Bring it, life. I can handle this.

Wish List

My mother always taught me not to lust, but its virtually impossible with these delicious shoes taunting me. So artsy it hurts.

Thank you for the break

Pinterest is the best thing that has happened to me thus far. All of these photos have provided the much needed, other-worldly break from studying from accounting for my business minor. Bleck. There is a good reason I'm an English major, peeps. A darn good reason.
I love all of the bookcases and journals in these pictures.
Oh, and the blue fridge.

Trying but Failing

Ok, so I really wanted this camera, and after sending an email titled "donate to the starving artist and college student fund" to the parental units, I've realized I may never get it. My loving father kindly pointed out that I have never really owned a digital camera, and having the film developed would take up all of my moolah.
So. Another time then. But if you happen to find this camera in front of you at a store, snatch it before you talk yourself out of it. There is something so ethereal about film cameras these days.

Totes.

So Kawledge

Want to know what I miss the most about home? I miss making mac&cheese [Kraft three cheese kind, of course] and donning my white tube socks to slide down the long hallway. That's pretty much it.
Otherwise, college is superb. I'm so blessed to have awesome friends that like to go country western dancing, but also like to get their krump on at date parties.

This is Reebs, peacing out. And feeling great.

PS - try the dark chocolate Kit Kats if you get a chance. You won't regret it.

Wednesday Night Blues

I have a major crush on books. Not just any books: NOVELS. Ya know, the manly ones. The ones that dominate the bookshelf, satisfy your aching heart, sweep you off your feet with a lovely line or two. Sometimes I wish I didn't have to deal with the pressures of studystudystudy or making friends or fighting off the temptation to get on Facebook. I wish that these days, we curled up in a window seat and read a book by the light of daybreak, the thin drapes flapping in the whispery breeze. I am studying Jane Austen's Mansfield Park in my British Literature class, and I could not be more obsessed. Not because it's Jane Austen and the fact that I'm a female, but because they lived such simple lives.

This is a "manor" in my hometown. Secluded beyond the
edge of the creek, you can only admire from a distance.
You learn a lot about a person from their desk.

Belated New Year's Resolution #1: learn to ignore technology. I'm completely aware that this is slightly contradictory because I sit here and blog, but hey, I've got to stay connected with the world somehow. Nevertheless, I will remain steadfast in this promise and become more literary and scholarly. Even in the way I dress. Fake glasses, here I come!

Wordsworth, you better watch your back. I'm coming for ya.

This is Reebs, peacing out to read a book or two.
